ABOUT SKY YOGA
Billions of creatures, which have reached the present levels through a process of evolution, spanning millions of years and thousands of generations, and which involved tiny unicellular organisms, plants, worms, insects, reptiles, quadrupeds and the birds, live on the earth. From the four-legged beasts arose the two-legged ones and from them, man, who occupies a place at the crest of the evolutionary scale.
Man,from the time he appeared on the earth to the present, has lived in all parts of the planet.Variations in the climate,as well as the circumstances,have brought changes and problems in their wake,on account of which humankind continues to suffer a variety of physical and mental ailments as well as a shorter life span.People continue to live under miserable conditions,physically and mentally.
All of this spurred the wise and erudite from all parts of the world to ponder the problem for suitable solutions.They came up with ways to rejuvenate the body and mind,besides leading a virtuous life,which they began to propagate through a process of edification and practice.The ideas and practices advocated by the wise and noble souls from many countries spread all over the world until they culminated in a universal system called Yoga.
Yoga implies an existence in harmony with Nature.Even though the practices are addressed by different names in keeping with the place and language,it basically refers to a system of physical and mental exercises that serve to keep the body and mind healthy.Yoga normally refers to practices that restore physical and mental wellbeing.The system of yoga practised under the aegis of the World Community Service Center,which helps correct and regulate physical and mental health,besides making the practitioner aware of the purpose behind a human birth and also guide him along the path to perfection,is called Manavalakkalai or SKY Yoga.

Simplified Physical Exercise
Based on bio-magnetism, the system of simplified physical exercises developed by Shri Vethathiri Maharishi after years of intense research, fulfills the need of maintaining the proper circulation of blood, heat, air, energy and bio-magnetism, ensuring maintenance of health and prevention of disease in a gentle way.
Kayakalpa Yoga
Kaya Kalpa gives significant physical, mental as well as spiritual benefit by intensifying our life-force. As this practice is a restructuring process of the body in a natural way, Kaya Kalpa helps cure and prevent diseases. No medicines or herbs are involved.It relieves the practitioner to of many of the troubles of aging.
Kundalini Meditation
In SKY practice various stages of meditation are given to an individual.A trained master initiates the student into meditation practice, intensifying the working center of his life-force at Agna Chakra (between the eyebrows) so as to focus there and meditate.After a few days of the initial practice, energy increase in the upper centers may be felt excessively. At this point the student is taught Shanti Yoga.The next stage of practice is Thuriya Yoga, which is meditation at the crown chakra, i.e. Sahasradara or Brahmarandra.
Introspection
A practical methodology for sublimating the negative emotions of greed, anger, vengeance, worries, etc. Introspection includes practices of self-analysis designed to take stock of positive and negative characteristics in our personality. Eliminate the unwanted and incompatible aspects of one’s character.Strengthen the habits of good thought, word and deed and discerning and rejecting the habits which are unwanted.
Frequently asked questions
Any one above 14 years can learn SKY yoga. However Simplified Physical Exercises can be taught to children above 8 years.
SKY Yoga has got different levels. Simplified physical exercise, Kayakalpa yoga, and three levels of meditation (Agna, Mooladhara,Thuriyam) is taught in the basic course and it will take a month’s time to learn the same. For completing all levels, it will approximately take 6 to 10 months.
You may need minimum 30 minutes to practice SKY yoga
